Morning:
08:00 - After your breakfast at hotel, start tour to visit Beng Mealea a spectacular jungle temple around 60 Kms drive to the north east of Siem Reap, stop at Damdek market to buy some fruit for snack, visit around the market and then proceed by jeep to see some villages and lifestyles living on both sides of the road.
10:30 - Arrive at Beng Mealea temple which surrounded by the moat. This temple is in the poor condition because of the root of the trees. It consists of two meaning of Beng Mealea, Beng refers to one type of good wood with hard core and it is one of the most expensive trees in Cambodia. Mealea refers to flower so Beng Mealea signifies as the temple cover by the flowers of Beng. And other meaning is Beng or Beong means pond. Here it refers to the temple enclosed by the pond or moat.
12:00 - After trekking through this jungle temple. Now it is the lunch break you can have picnic lunch or lunch at local restaurant in front of the temple and take a rest on the hammock after meal time for 30 minutes.
Afternoon:
13:30 - Driving to visit Banteay Srey temple by the short-cut thru villages, forest and mountain views
14:30 - Visit Banteay Srei's style is a mix of the archaic and the innovative. It is built largely of red sandstone, with brick and laterite used only for the enclosure walls and some structural elements. Although Banteay Srei's coloration is unique, sandstone of other shades was later to become the norm.
16:30 - A long the road back to Siem Reap visit The Angkor Butterfly Centre project is established by APDO in October 2008 in order to provide as an eco-friendly, community-based endeavor that will initially provide employment opportunities to rural families as well as to access a steady income-earning opportunities for their families, while educating both Cambodians and foreign tourist about a specific component of the environment and the interests of butterflies farming.
17:30 - Visit Preah Dak village, where you can buy some souvenirs of Khmer products.
18:00 - Arrive at hotel. End tour.
